german chocolate cake frosting


Mix together & set aside - german chocolate cake frosting


two cups Sugar
½ tsp of Salt
½ cup of Margarine
Two Eggs

In a separate cup set aside and mix together:
2 tsp of Soda
1 Tbsp of Vinegar ---


put in to first mixture:
one cup buttermilk
one tsp vanilla


Mix well & then add:
two rounded cups Flour
½ cup of cocoa
Mix one more time and add: vinegar/ Soda mixture
Mix thoroughly. Add One Cup boilingWater.
Mix and pour into 9x13” pan. Batter very thin.
Bake at 350o for about 40 – 45 minutes

FROSTING - german chocolate cake frosting


In the saucepan, mix together:

One cup evaporated-Milk or cream
½ cup margarine or butter
One cup sugar
Three egg yolks
One tsp of vanilla
Cook & stir over on medium heat until be thick. ( for about 12 minutes for better german chocolate cake frosting)

Add:
1 1/3 cups Shredded-Coconut
1 cup Chopped-Pecans
Beat the mixture until is thick enough to spread. Makes 2 ½ cups...
